What types of brake systems and brake pads are there? What types are good?

Car brake system can be divided into 2 types

1. Drum brakes 

Consist of a circular metal drum body attached to the wheel hub. spinning with wheels and a set of brake shoes that consist of brake pads Brake adjustment mechanism, recoil spring, brake fluid piston 

The brake fluid line is connected to the piston to push the brake pads against the drum to cause friction. to slow down the car mainly used in trucks Including personal cars, generally using only the rear wheels. 



Pros is to stop the car quickly Because the brake shoes and drum brakes are attached to the wheel hub. Suitable for vehicles with heavy loads. 

Weaknesses That is, drum brake pads don"t transfer heat and drain as well as disc brakes.  



​2. Disc brakes 

consist of disc discs, calipers or brake calipers, brake pads, brake fluid pumps. The system will work by pushing the brake pads into contact with the brake disc. In order to cause friction, causing the car to stop,

some models use disc brakes on all 4 wheels, some cars use only 2 front wheels.
